
Within the reformation period of the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation, the plant did not become a part of the JSC “Russian railways” and was one of the first Russian independent enterprises operating at the market of wooden impregnated sleepers. The plant could go through hard times and adapt to conditions of the market economy. New times brought a new approach to efficiency and quality of the production process, necessity of transfer to aggressive and flexible marketing policy and merchandising. That is why work of the plant management is based on combination of the following principles:
- strict access control of delivered raw materials
- high quality of outputs
- stable operation of the plant and execution of obligations under the agreements on supply of products to customers
- flexible pricing and merchandising policy of the enterprise in relation to buyers
- usage of both traditional and modern types and methods of the wood preservation
- implementation of contemporary technologies of the production process and management of the enterprise
The plant produces not only sleepers but also wooden poles for power transmission and electrical communication lines impregnated by preservatives.
The Ryazan sleeper impregnation plant is the only enterprise in Russia impregnating sleepers and poles by oil preservatives (creosote, oil-base fluids, technical preservative fluids) and preservatives on the water basis (CCA, XM).
